Background on question generation at TheQ.ca

From a musculoskeletal clinician's point of view, dealing with people coming into the office with various types of pain syndromes and injury syndromes, and recognizing the FoodPainConnection quite early, the musculoskeletal clinician would like to see the patient improve certain specific areas of lifestyle behaviour so the condition would heal more quickly. This was the stimulating factor for building the questionnaire program in the first place. It came out of the musculoskeletal clinician's need. Broadening the scope to include multidimensional Wellness was an obvious decision.

At the same time as needing the patient to behave in a certain way that improved their chances of healing, a clinician also needs tools to identify red flags, yellow flags, and various other important clinical indicators like osteoporosis risk etc. These tools have the effect of 'focus' so, they speed up the delivery of Wellness. Some of the tools I developed for dealing with intractable pain conditions ended up in the onlone Questionnaire Program.

However, the Questionnaire program, and the research program, do not make diagnoses and do not make health recommendations outside the parameters of the Wellness Report of Findings. Multiple Wellness scores are there in the Wellness Progress Chart to help focus various types of clinicians. Consequently, the Five Pillar Wellness Progress Chart becomes an important document in the pursuit of the multidimensional Wellness.

Dr. Ouellette's Wellness Knowledge Calculator Questionnaire at TheQ.ca is thorough and comprehensive covering 30 mini questionnaires. It has five parts to it. One part asks for a person's age, height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, and bowel transit time.

The next section asks the client to select a more comprehensive set of Wellness goals.

The next section measures each of the Five Pillars.

The next section measures some important clinical parameters such as antioxidant needs, osteoporosis risk, clinical red flags, clinical yellow flags, and a few other important clinical issues.

Last Section measures for Dr. Ouellette's Anti-Inflammatory Anti-Obesity, Anti-Aging, Pain Relief, Wellness Diet.

This measurement tool at TheQ.ca provides 38 numbers which give us a Wellness profile of this client. We ask people to take time with it please, and take all the breaks recommended.

Five Pillar Wellness Risk Management Workshops make recommendations only within Five Pillar Wellness Action Plan list and are specifically to troubleshoot completing the action plan list items. The Wellness Report of Findings contains the Wellness Action Plan list and does all the teaching and explaining. Wellness Instructors need only answer questions to clarify confusions with regard to the Action Plan list and the RoF.

We started long ago on a project that was very large. This meant pieces would need to come together slowly. We concluded from clinical experience that the Five Pillars were the essence of Self-Help Wellness.

Science was the lead with a basic principle that, to keep it in the Self-Help category  various health care professions, including my own, would need to take a back seat while the science pertaining to Self-Help would need the lead.

So, what is the bottom line fine print with our program? If people follow our suggestions, our diet, our lifestyle, then they will see a correction in blood fats, a correction in blood pressure, a lowering to normalization of weight, a better vascular system, including the heart, and a better brain with all that this entails. This all comes naturally from following the Wellness science.

We measure a person for that science and show how to move forward with Five Pillar Wellness Risk Management.

It is time to launch this important field and tell people what their Five Pillar Wellness Risk numbers are.
