There is a way to MEASURE Wellness RISK.

We can put numbers to Dr. Ouellette's Five Pillars of Optimal Health Secrets. These secrets are all in the Self-Help field. From that point, people can learn how to help themselves. Our main premise is that people need help to help themselves. They need dedication to themselves. They need education. They need perseverance. They need science.

 We are here to be that help.

 

The reason for our Five Pillar Wellness program, and our various web sites, is to help people help themselves with Wellness Strategies. One of the things we don't seem to have yet in our communities are numbers that indicate Wellness Risk or Wellness Compliance.

We can ask somebody if they exercise three times a week. We can ask somebody whether they eat three well-balanced meals a day. But then we have to define what we mean by exercise, define what we mean by well-balanced meals and define a whole slew of other things. This leads us into much argument and discussion without really accomplishing much. Then, we have to find out if people are really doing what they say they are doing. Most people are not.

And, to top it all off, Wellness is much more than just exercise and nutrition alone. From a musculoskeletal clinician’s point of view, there are several issues with Wellness one must consider. Paring that list down was a key point in the process for us to build our Wellness RISK Management program.
    
The conundrum is that various syndromes are most often summations of several stressors often requiring several health care practitioners to sort out. The premise of the Five Pillar Wellness RISK Management program is that we can help people through that conundrum.

Science has shed light on many Wellness strategies. We don't really need to debate those any longer. What we need to do is implement the science. It is that implementation on a regular basis that is our nemesis as humans. So, where does the core essence of Wellness reside?

We have spent quite some time defining the core of Wellness we call the Five Pillars. We established several questionnaires to measure a person's compliance with science. We put numbers to those 30 mini questionnaires. Our aim was thoroughness, completeness and inclusiveness. We decided on a scale. We coined a new term 'Wellness RISK. We put numbers to Wellness RISK. We installed a protocol to ensure standardization internationally. We drafted a process to help people help themselves improve their scores.

Our process is measuring, assessing, identifying, prioritizing, and motivating to mitigate WELLNESS RISK. We help people help themselves. We are Making WELLNESS a Priority.

Pain

What about pain?

Being pain free is a part of Wellness. We understand people need proper professional help with pain. However healthcare professionals are not well trained in nutrition, are not well trained in exercise physiology and are not well trained in Sports Injuries. They have a protocol for that poor training which involves referrals to specialists. We are okay with that however, we are claiming that a great degree of the onus for recovery is on the patient not the healthcare professional.
